Spring has Sprung!

In spring’s sweet honor, I introduce you to my newest clothing design. This design is born from my painting, hand-painted with acrylic paints on paper and using a ‘tool’ I made with a wooden dowel and ordinary string. Pulling or rolling the dowel through the blended paint created a floating image. I lost myself, in a good way, during this very enjoyable process.

When the painting was dry, I walked around it, viewing it from all angles. I took in the experience and the feeling of the painting. The name of the painting became obvious.

It is called RAIN.

RAIN magically translated to a kimono, scarf, tote bag, headband, and pouch.

RAIN’S magic…

translated to a kimono, scarf, tote bag, headband, and pouch.

When I wear or carry them, I feel refreshed and prepared for new and unexpected adventures. I feel light and hopeful and radiant.

When I wear these items or carry them, I feel refreshed and prepared for new and unexpected adventures. I feel light and hopeful and radiant.

If this description does not uplift you, RAIN’S story might. The words of its story arose within me as I reflected on the painting process and later, the finished products.

May the RAIN story, clothing, and accessories, elevate your spirit!

RAIN’S story:

RAIN...flowing, fluid, fresh. I melt into the interior of this painting. I feel safe as if I am returning to the womb, to the center of all. Contained in this deep violet-y purple innermost marrow is the essence of light.

Unwavering, enduring, steadfast. Space is held for me within the descending...or ascending...vertical rivulets. Interconnected triads of fuchsia feel like boundaries allowing only light and love to fill this solitary soul.

This is simply my experience of RAIN at this moment. Another moment will elicit a varying interpretation. Turn the painting horizontally and RAIN disappears into a radically altered experience.

What might you be experiencing?
