Lisa L. Frechette, M.Ed., M.A.
I offer elementary, middle and high-school students, and older students private one-on-one academic tutoring.
With master's degrees in counseling and education and over twenty years of classroom and private teaching experience, I am also an artist, offering a creative tutoring experience.
I assist exceptional and regular education students to identify their unique learning style and develop strategies to help them reach their academic goals. I support students in all curriculum areas including reading, written language, and math skills as well as SAT, ACT, and GED test preparation and college essay writing. The following competencies are developed and refined:
organizing, prioritizing, and time management to optimize learning
mastering academic subjects to meet individual goals
completing assignments effectively and in a timely manner
test taking strategies to demonstrate learning mastery
relaxation techniques to foster focus, calm, and confidence
I am also a team player. Clear and consistent communication with parents, teachers, and other professionals is key in supporting students' academic goals. Together, we review the student’s needs and develop an action plan. Our process is fluid and evolves as the student grows and develops.
